Non-League Day: Gosforth Bohemians

The second Non-League Day is scheduled for Saturday September 3rd, the day after England’s Euro 2012 qualifier in Bulgaria. Northern Football Alliance side Gosforth Bohemians are celebrating the initiative and their 60th year at their Benson Park ground with two games of football for a mere £2. A 10.30am kick off will see Bohs ‘B’ side in action, followed by the official opening of their newly refurbished clubhouse. At 2.30pm the first team will play city rivals Newcastle East End in a Northern Alliance First Division game. The entrance fee includes a free programme (a genuine rarity in the Northern Alliance) and tea, coffee and cakes will be on sale inside the clubhouse, where you can also see photographs and trophies covering most of the club’s 117-year history.
