Among the more common complaints of Northern League programme editors is the absence of a central database of information covering club histories and player profiles. Starting this season, Viva Northern League will be hosting a database of exactly that information (hopefully) supplied by the clubs themselves. Click on the Northern League Database tab for up-to-date details on playing staff and management and biographical data on the clubs that make up the world’s second oldest football league.
Archive information on the Northern League itself can be found here.
Programme editors can also use articles from Viva Northern League or Chris Daniel’s 50 Seats and Floodlights blog in return for advance notice of use and an acknowledgement in the programme itself. Chris writes a weekly round up from the Wearside League as well as opinion pieces on north-east non-league.
